Calling Card Design for Hiroyoshi Yatabe, Bar Future Flight 2009
2009 Two analog vinyls are arranged on the front side in order to express DJ who plays music constantly by way of using two analog vinyls. His name and all information are written in both English and Japanese in consideration of his career, a staff of Imperial Hotel and DJ in Yokota Base. His name is arranged on a diagonal line like two vinyls. The design of the front side appeals visually, on the other side, you can check the basic information on the back side, written in both English and Japanese. So non-Japanese can visit the bar Future Flight easier! I regarded the restriction, the card must be color-printed on the front side and black-and-white printed on the back side, as contrast, and took advantage of it. Colored/black-and-white, red/blue, right/left, top/bottom, circle/srtraight line, English/Japanese, visually appealed/detailed information, these all are contrast, you know. The base of the design is conposed as symmetry, that has steady and stable air. The square format of calling card is cut boldly by two vinyl circles, this apeals good sense.
